Allatoona Pass Living History

                                    "Fire on the Mountain"

On October 3^rd-5^th The Georgia Division Reenactors Association will be hosting a Living History and memorial program on the Allatoona battlefield.

The 21^st Georgia and Flatlander’s Mess will be Sponsoring Federal Forces, representing the 4th Minnesota, we will represent Federal soldiers Garrisoned at the Pass  prior to, during, and after the battle. Our camp sites will be inside the “Star Fort” and the eastern side of the Pass. One unique aspect of this is that the "Federal Forces" will have command of both sides of the Pass, and to my knowledge this has not happened since Unions forces left the area in 1865.

All officers and NCOs will come from the 21^st GA and Flatlander’s Mess unless invited persons bring enough people with them to justify someone in that group being “promoted”. More details as to plans will be forthcoming once we have an idea of numbers.

Federal Forces are INVITATION ONLY. Anyone who shows up without being invited will be turned away

The 5^thMissouri and other affiliated groups will be conducting their program at the base of the pass and providing firing demos and will be representing soldiers of the C.S. forces under General French who assaulted the Pass. They will be in a garrison style camp (A-tents, wall tents, etc) and they will be handling their own guidelines and scenarios. All information on this site pertains to Federal Participation.
